Artistic talent contest of Sunchang embroidery learners to celebrate the Day of Shin Saimdang.

Straw and plant crafts are one of the traditional craft skills, making straw shoes, straw bags, lucky strainers, and ring-shaped head pads using straw and plants, natural materials. The senior citizens in Sunchang-gun with traditional craft skills make the crafts with their artisan spirit and pride continuing the disappearing traditional culture.

Sunchang-gun makes the senior citizens of 70 years or older who can’t do any other jobs due to high labor intensity participate in the projects to make seaweed tablewares. Sunchang-gun has been endeavoring to maximize job creation for residents who have been neglected by employers up to now.
