Sunchang County has cherished its unique style and taste, it is widely known as the main producer of Korean traditional soybean products. Moreover, it has recently become more famous as one of the three longevity villages around the world.

While upholding ancestor’s wisdom in producing fermented soybean products in a traditional way at the “Sunchang Folk Village of Hot Pepper Paste” and the “Korean Traditional Paste Museum”, Sunchang also makes efforts to globalize its specialty through advanced research facilities and economic infrastructures including “Traditional Fermented Soybean Product Research Institute”, “Fermented Microorganism Center” and the “Health Longevity Research Center”.

In addition, Sunchang is a famous tourist destination with its beautiful nature and historic sites as many famous spots are lined along the 80-ri long Seomjin River on its east. Its west site is spotted with Mt. Gangcheon County Park, Mt. Hoemun Natural Forest and many historical remains.

We will become a better Sunchang and a “happy Sunchang for all” so that anyone would want to visit and live in Sunchang.
