Here is some information on international driver's license application·issuance procedure, which you do not need to have the foreign driver's license while travelling abroad, so please use it.
Procedure of issuance of required documents, etc.
- When the person applies : Passport, driver's license and a passport photo(3.5cm X 4.5cm)
- When the agent applies : Passport, immigration certificate, driver's license, a passport photo(3.5cm X 4.5cm), agent's identification card and power of attorney
- When the person is abroad, the copies of identification card and power of attorney are available
- Expiration date : A year from international driver's license issue date
※ If one year after entering the country has passed, it may cease to have effect according to the country's law despite expiration date of international driver's license. - Fee: 8,500 won
- Processing period: 7 days
- Enforcement date : 2015.8.1~~
- ※ Countries where international driver's license is valid : Members of Geneva Conventions including U.S.A., Japan, Australia, Canada, etc.(95 countries)
