As the main producer of the half of 8 master great singers of the Joseon Dynasty, Sunchang constructed the classical music institute to inherit Korean sound.

Great Singer Kim Sejong
Birthplace (Gajak, Donggye) of Kim Sejong (1825 - 1898), master of Dongpyeonje Pansori and Cheonja Dwitpuri from Chunghyangga. He is excellent in critique and theories of Korean traditional narrative song.

Great Singer Jang Ja-Baek
He has a clear and abundant voice and volume. He is the master of the Song of Byeongangsoe and the Song of Chunhyang. The historical site of the great singer Jang Ja-Baek (1829 - 1906) is at Unlim-ri, Jeokseong-myeon.
