Silkworm thorn is cultivated mainly around Paldeok-myeon. It has been recently planted all over the province to develop it as a strategic crop of Sunchang. In accordance with research results proving its superior effects for inhibiting the proliferation of cancer, treating inflammatory diseases, including women’s diseases and arthritis as well as strengthening virility, a variety of products using the berries, leaves, stems, and roots have been produced.
